Stars of Science in Islamic History

We live in a period of great change, of discovery and technological innovation. All areas of science are experiencing impressive, accelerated progress. But if we pause to think of the history of these advances and the accumulated knowledge behind them, we realize that the quantum surge in science and ingenuity we are experiencing today is comparable to that which occurred in the Arab and Islamic world over a thousand years ago. From physics, mechanics and mathematics, to astronomy, chemistry and medicine. It was a storm of knowledge and enlightenment that greatly contributed to form the foundations of science today.
