Line Technique by Huguette Caland with Dr. Sabrina Puppin

Discover with Dr Sabrina Puppin the biography of Artist Huguette Caland (1931-2019) in a series of three videos brought to you by Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art.

Throughout this series, Dr Puppin will be demonstrating the line techniques used by the artist. Focusing on blind contouring, and line drawing exercises, this video will investigate some of Caland’s paintings and drawings.

Works of Huguette Caland are on display at Mathaf until 30 November for the "Huguette Caland: Faces and Places" exhibition. It features six decades of paintings, drawings, caftans, smocks and sculptures, including a selection of never-before exhibited paintings, and the first caftan Caland created.
